About Lasting Lines

Four generations of Dallas beauty

The Dallas Institute of Electrolysis is more than a clinic. It is a fifty-year-old institution built on the belief that everyone deserves to look their best — and that the best results come from the steady hand of someone who has been doing the work for a very long time.

Edna Small · Renee Ryan · Natasha Janice · Nikki Phillips · Kelly Morgan

Edna Small founded the Dallas Institute of Electrolysis in 1971 — back when permanent hair removal was barely understood by the medical community and almost unheard of in Dallas. She built a clinic and a school side by side, training the next generation while she worked.

Renee Ryan, today's owner, has practiced for 50 years. She was raised in the studio and began her own career in 1977, training under her mother. Today she runs the clinic, treats clients personally five days a week, and still teaches small classes at the studio. In 2026 she put nearly five decades of experience into her first book, Training Manual for Electrolysis, now available on Amazon.

Natasha Janice, the third generation, works alongside Renee. The continuity is intentional — electrolysis is a skill you only really learn by watching, doing, and being corrected by a master.

Nikki Phillips has been an electrologist for over ten years, serving clients across East Texas.

Kelly Morgan serves Richardson, Texas, where she has been providing electrolysis for the past two years.

Renee's New Book

Training Manual for Electrolysis

Fifty years of practice and teaching, distilled into a practical guide for students and professionals — including skin tag and mole removal and a full practice exam. Available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle.

What we believe

Moles and bumps: see a doctor first

Any mole, growth, bump, or skin imperfection should be checked by a physician before it is treated. We do not diagnose skin conditions. If a spot has changed in size, shape, or color, has irregular borders, bleeds, or itches, have your doctor look at it first. We treat only benign skin tags, moles, and imperfections that a doctor has cleared — the same standard Renee teaches her students.

Safety first — every time

Sanitation is not a marketing line. It is the foundation of everything we do. Our procedures are done in a clean, private room with sterile instruments and your medical history reviewed before every appointment.

Skill is taught, not bought

Equipment matters. Technique matters more. We train students to think first and act with care — the way we were trained.
